Re- Sale is a Reseller app for college students to reach out to fellow students (especially juniors to reach out to seniors) to buy and sell various academic materials and tools such as Reference books, Guides, Engineering Instruments, calculators, etc. that are in good condition and can be re-used.
Problem statement
“College Students need a way to connect with fellow students to buy and sell re-usable academic materials because there is a gap in knowing potential buyer and seller students.”
Often students (Freshers) need academic materials and instruments for their course. And there are fellow students ( Senior students) who might have the required materials that are no longer of any use to them and can be re-used by anyone else who needs it. Most times, not every fresher knows a senior student who might have what they need. Thus, there is a gap in knowing the student who needs the materials and the student who has the materials.
Design challenge
How might we help students identify potential buyers or sellers of required, re-usable academic materials among fellow students.
The solution
Re-Sale: A new Reseller App exclusive for college students that helps identify potential buyers or sellers of required, re-usable academic materials among fellow students.

To excel academically
An easy and efficient way to identify fellow students who might want to sell their study materials.
To sell his books to freshers who might properly use his materials.
Goals
“I utilized WhatsApp to purchase educational resources from an upperclassman, but the delivery was delayed, requiring me to contact him three times to obtain the materials. Additionally, I was unsure of his identity, making me somewhat apprehensive about the services offered.” “I aim to safeguard my identity while still sharing essential details that foster trust between the buyer and seller.
Frustrations
Arshat is a second year college student currently pursuing his Bachelor’s in Information Technology. He is a studious student who wants an easy way to get access to study materials used by senior students and also sell the materials that he used as a fresher. He is worried about delayed delivery of products and not knowing the identity of the buyer or seller.
“I believe in reduce, reuse and recycle”
User Story:
As a second year student, I want an efficient way to connect with potential buyers or sellers of academic materials and instruments so that I can prepare for my exams well and help freshers with their exams by selling my notes.

Re - Sale could be scaled further from just being used by students within a college to buying and selling products between students from one college to another.
Take away
Through this project I understood that there are problems around us that we seldom feel need a proper solution because we are tuned to adjust and not come up with a solution that could actually be a relief from the problem. I tried solving one such problem faced by students through this project using the Design Thinking Approach.
Also, Re- Sale was done in collaboration with a developer which made me understand that not every creative decision is viable to develop into a final product and I understood the importance of effective communication between a Designer and Developer.
